FOUR-DAY IGNATIAN RETREAT FOR PRIESTS
San Jose, CA area
Our Lady of Santa Clara Retreat Center
Cupertino, CA
Monday, January 10 - Friday, January 14, 2011
Description:
This four-day retreat, directed by the Legionaries of Christ, follows the dynamic of the spiritual exercises of St Ignatius of Loyola. Personal growth, knowledge and love of Jesus Christ and devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary are emphasized. A spirit of silence is encouraged, and there is plenty of time for personal prayer and reflection. The retreats are exclusively for Roman Catholic priests.
Our Lady of Santa Clara offers a relaxing and reflective atmosphere as well as quality accommodations and meal services. The daily schedule includes Eucharistic concelebration. Ample opportunities for confession and spiritual consultation are provided.
Retreat director:
Fr. Edward Hopkins, LC - Father Hopkins entered the Legion of Christ in 1980 after graduating from Thomas Aquinas College in California. He studied philosophy at the Gregorian University and theology at the University of St. Thomas in Rome. He was ordained by John Paul II on January 3, 1991. After ordination he worked as vocation director and more recently as youth director offering spiritual direction, retreats, and apostolic formation to youth and young adults.
