From June 28
to July 9, the Ninth Annual Bioethics Summer Course will
be held at Regina Apostolorum. This year’s topic is “Bioethics
and communication: a challenge for the third millennium.”
Among the themes to be discussed will be:
in theory and practice
The anthropology of communication
The sociology of communication
and contemporary culture
Bioethics in the “Global Village”
Bioethical themes and problems
in the mass media
The communication of personalist bioethics in the
Institutional communication in a healthcare setting: communiqués to personnel;
to patients and families; to the public.
Professors from the School of Bioethics and other international
experts will discuss the issues in a classroom environment designed
to include the considerations and insights of participants. Classes are
given in Italian with simultaneous translation into English and Spanish.

Students registered in the Master’s (Licentiate)
and Doctorate programs in the School of Bioethics may take
this course by registering (course number CE001 and CE002 for
the first and second session respectively). Participation in this course
will be accredited in their academic curriculum, if they pass
the corresponding written exams, with 3 credits for each session.
